What information do I need?
When contacting Activa-Liberia about a claim, be ready to provide:

What happens after I report a claim?
An Activa-Liberia claims professional will review your report and start the claims process.

After I've filed a claim, what happens next?
Once the claim is reported to our claims office, you will be contacted by a claims representative and the process will be discussed with you.
Any available options will be discussed with you as well.
What should I do after suffering property damage?
If your property has been damaged:

If necessary, protect your property from further damage or loss by making reasonable temporary repairs. Keep a record of repair costs.

Notify Activa-Liberia.

If theft or vandalism caused the loss, notify the police.

If the loss is related to a bank electronic fund transfer or credit card, notify the financial institution.
What should I do after an auto accident?
If you’ve been involved in an accident:

Notify the police.

Valid Drivers’ license

Collect the descriptions and specific damages to all vehicles, as well as the names and addresses of all individuals and witnesses involved.

Notify Activa-Liberia.

Promptly send Activa-Liberia copies of any letters, notices or legal papers you receive about the accident. You may be asked to submit proof of loss documentation. If you received treatment for injuries, you may be asked to submit that information as well.
How long do I have to lodge my claim?
To ensure your claim is settled as soon as possible, it is best to lodge your claim promptly without prejudices.
I was in an accident and need to rent a vehicle. Will my insurance pay for the rental vehicle?
Activa –Liberia will pay for a rental vehicle depending on the applicable coverage or endorsements on your policy.
If I am at fault in the accident, do I have to pay my deductible?
If you are at fault and cause damage to another person’s property or injure them, a deductible will not apply to that portion of the loss.
Your deductible only applies to claims made for damage to your vehicle.
What if my vehicle is a total loss? How is the value determined?
After your vehicle is inspected by an Activa representative, the value is determined based upon the vehicle’s options, mileage, and condition.
What do I do if someone files a lawsuit against me?
Please notify Activa or your agent immediately. Please submit a copy of the suit papers directly to us.
There is a specific timeline in which a response to the lawsuit needs to be filed. In most cases, Activa will hire an attorney on your behalf.
What should I do if my vehicle is involved in a hit and run?
Contact the police to report the incident. This is considered a collision loss and your collision deductible applies.
We will set up a claim and ask that you get an estimate for your damage.
Why can't my personal property be covered when it is stolen or damaged from my vehicle?
Your auto policy is strictly for damage to your vehicle. Any personal belongings should be covered under your rental or homeowners coverage.
Can I select my own repair shop or do I have to go to a shop you assign?
You may choose any shop to repair your vehicle. An estimate will need to be provided by Activa-Liberia for the shop of your choice.
On occasion, we may ask for more than one estimate, or we may need to inspect your vehicle.
If you don’t have one or your choice is unreasonable Activa will carry out repair on your behalf.
